Clint Goode-Student Pastor

Our History

Grace Bible Church began as a home Bible Study of about twenty people in the summer of 2002. In August of 2002 GBC formally incorporated as an independent, evangelical Bible church, committed to the fundamental, historic truths recorded in God’s inerrant revelation-the Holy Scriptures. In February 2003, Bryan McKenzie joined the work as full time pastor. Clint Goode was hired as full-time Student Ministry Pastor in January of 2005. We moved to our current location in March of 2006.

Our Purpose

Grace Bible Church exists as a family directed by God’s Word to:

-EXALT God in everything.
(1 Cor. 11:31; 2 Cor. 5:9)

            -EQUIP one another for ministry.
                                                (Eph.4:11-13; Col. 1:28)

            -EVANGELIZE the lost.
                                            (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

The Leadership of GBC

Elders

Chris Mayfield is the most recent addition to the team of elders. Chris and his wife, Christy, have 4 children: Braxton, Jake, Callie, and Luke. Chris teaches and coaches at Angleton High School. He serves in the music ministry of our church and leads “4th Sunday” Children’s Worship. Chris is the elder liaison for Women’s Ministry and the Visitation Team.

Bryan McKenzie is the Teaching Pastor of our church. He and his wife, Jonell, have 4 children: Joshua, Annamarie, Jonathan, and McKaylee. Bryan is one of the 2 full-time staff members at GBC and he has many responsibilities including elder liaison for the Mission & Benevolence Team and Men’s Ministry

Chuck Mork is the Chairman of the team of elders. Church and his wife, Laura, have 2 college-aged girls (Elisa and Katy). He works for Dow Chemical. Chuck teaches the adult Sunday School class and also teaches in the Sunday morning worship service about once a month. Chuck is the elder liaison for Small Groups and the Communications Team.

Gregg Smith and his wife, Michele, have 2 teenage children: Bethany, a freshman at Texas A&M, and Drew, a Junior at Brazosport Christian School. Gregg works in the computer area for Dow Chemical. He leads the music team and serves as the Secretary for the team of elders. Gregg is the elder liaison for 2 teams: Youth and Facilities.

Ministry Staff

Clint Goode joined the GBC staff in January 2005 as the Student Ministry Pastor. Clint is married to Tammy, who teaches 7th Grade Math at Clute Intermediate School.

Alesha Kendrick joined the GBC staff in January of 2007 as the Administrative Assistant. Alesha and her husband, Derek have been faithful members of Grace for over 5 years and have two children: Brittany and Mason.

Deacons

Jason Bundick has responsibility for Missions. He and his wife, Robin, have 2 children: Lydia and Hagan. Jason works for Tri-Con.

Tyler Harden serves as Treasurer. He and his wife, Dana, have 4 children: Zachary, Daycie, Cambry, and Ember. Tyler works for FlowServe.

John Weaver is the elder liaison for the Finance Team and Children’s Ministry. He and his wife, Patti, have 3 children: Margaret, Bobby, and Laura. John is a chemical engineer by background but is currently self employed in the residential construction business.
